Terms and conditions

1. Who we are

This website, acquirerevenue.com, is run by Acquire Revenue, a business based in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. We build websites and phone answering systems for contractors. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Acquire Revenue. "You" means anyone who uses this website. "Client" means a business that pays us for our service.

2. Using this website

By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the website. You agree you won't misuse the website, try to break it, or use it to send spam.

3. Offers and paid work

Prices, offers and their conditions are shown where we make them. If you become a client, sections 4 to 10 cover our service. If a separate written agreement we both sign ever disagrees with these terms, that agreement wins.

4. Our service (clients)

We build your website for free. Then we run four systems for your business, for as long as you're a client:

  • the Never Lose A Client System: every missed call, text and form answered in 60 seconds, day or night
  • the 5-Star Review Funnel
  • Referrals On Autopilot
  • the Local SEO System

The website comes with your plan. It isn't a trial, and it's yours.

Your part: a 45-minute setup call, your logo and some photos of your work, and your OK before anything goes live.

We don't promise a go-live date. Your texting number has to clear Canadian registration first, and that part isn't ours to control. We start it on your setup call. We don't promise Google rankings or a number of jobs either. Nobody can.

5. Prices and billing (clients)

We bill in cycles of 4 weeks. That's 13 cycles a year. All prices are in Canadian dollars. You pick one plan:

  • Year upfront: $4,000, paid once. It covers 13 cycles (364 days). No setup fee.
  • 12 weeks upfront: $1,200, paid once. It covers 3 cycles (84 days). No setup fee. In week 10 we'll ask you to pick. Add $2,800 and it becomes a full year from your first day, or keep going at $400 every 4 weeks. If you don't pick by the end of week 12, you keep going at $400 every 4 weeks, charged to your card on file. We'll remind you in week 10 and again 3 days before.
  • Every 4 weeks: $400 every 4 weeks. No setup fee. You pay $400 on day one, then $400 every 4 weeks.

Before your year ends: we'll ask about 30 days ahead. You can take another year, or switch to $400 every 4 weeks. If you don't pick, you keep going at $400 every 4 weeks, charged to your card on file.

Price changes: our prices can go up by up to 5% once a year. We'll tell you at least 30 days before. A change never touches a plan you've already paid for.

Tax: we're not registered for GST/HST, so we don't charge it. If that changes, we'll tell you at least 30 days before it shows up on a bill.

6. Paying (clients)

You pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Payments run through Stripe. We never see your full card number. Charges show on your statement as ACQUIRE REVENUE.

We'll ask for a backup card on your setup call. If a payment fails, we try your backup card the next day. If that fails too, we'll text you. If a payment is still unpaid 14 days after it was due, we pause the answering until it's paid. We don't cancel your plan over a late payment, and your website stays up.

7. Our promise (clients)

Every missed call, text and form gets an answer in 60 seconds, day or night. Miss one and those 4 weeks are free.

  • Every-4-weeks plan: we don't charge you for the cycle with the miss. If you already paid for it, we refund it.
  • Upfront plans (the year or 12 weeks): every miss adds one free 4-week cycle to the end of your plan.

What counts as a miss: one of these doesn't get our reply within 60 seconds.

  • a call to your business number that you don't pick up
  • a text to your business number
  • a form sent from the website we built

What doesn't count:

  • anything that comes in while your phone company, the internet or the software we run on is down
  • spam, robocalls and numbers you've blocked
  • anything that comes in before your system goes live

How we check: every reply time is in your message log, and you can see it in your app. Think we missed one? Reply to any of our texts or email [email protected], and we'll check the log with you.

8. Cancelling (clients)

  • Every-4-weeks plan: cancel any time. Tell us before your next billing day and you won't be charged again.
  • Upfront plans: you can cancel any time and you won't be charged again. Your service runs to the end of what you paid for, plus any free cycles you earned. We don't refund the unused part of an upfront plan.

To cancel, email [email protected] or text (778) 200-7487.

9. After you cancel: Site Care (clients)

When your plan ends, your website stays live in your name on Site Care. It's $39 a month, charged to your card on file. The answering, the review requests and the referral texts stop. Don't want Site Care? Tell us when you cancel and we'll hand everything over to you instead. You can cancel Site Care any time.

10. What's yours (clients)

These are yours, and they go with you:

  • your domain
  • your website's words and photos
  • your customer list and message history
  • your reviews and your Google Business Profile

We hand them over when you ask. There's no exit fee, and we never hold your website or your data hostage.

11. Text messages (SMS)

Text messages come from Acquire Revenue. When you tick the reminders box on our form or calendar, you agree to get non-marketing texts from us. They cover your booking confirmation, appointment reminders and updates on your request. Promotional texts are sent only if you tick the separate, optional promotions box. Reply STOP at any time to stop all texts.

You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text "STOP" to (778) 200-7487. After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again. If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program you can reply with the keyword HELP for more assistance, or you can get help directly at [email protected].

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. You will receive a varying number of messages, depending on your request and any calls you book with us. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.

If you have any questions regarding privacy, please read our privacy policy: https://acquirerevenue.com/legal-page#heading-6bn_uij7TR

12. Emails

We'll email you about the request you made and the calls you book. Clients also get emails about their service and their bills. To stop our emails, reply "stop" or email [email protected]. We'll act on it within 10 business days.

13. Booked calls

Calls happen on Zoom. Your confirmation and reminders include the link. If a time stops working for you, use the reschedule link in your confirmation, or reply to any of our messages.

14. Our content

The words, images and videos on this website belong to Acquire Revenue or the people who licensed them to us. Please don't copy them without asking.

15. Links to other websites

This website may link to other websites. We don't control them and aren't responsible for what's on them.

16. Limits on what we owe

This website is provided as is. We work to keep it accurate and running, but we can't promise it'll always be available or free of errors. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for losses that come from using this website. We also aren't responsible for jobs or money a client loses, or for outages at phone companies or the software we run on. If we ever owe a client money, the most we'll owe is what that client paid us in the 3 cycles before the problem. Nothing here limits any right you have under the law that can't be limited.

17. Changes to these terms

We'll update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. For clients, a change that costs you more or gives you less starts only after we've told you at least 30 days before.

18. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

Acquire Revenue is responsible for the personal information it holds about you. Questions go to our privacy contact at [email protected].

2. What we collect

  • Your form answers: your work, trade, team size, weekly calls, website, who answers your phone, and how business is going.
  • Your contact details from the form: first name, business name, mobile number and email.
  • Your consent choices for texts, and the date and time you made them.
  • If you tell us you're not a contractor: what you told us about your business, any link you gave us, and your email.
  • What you enter when you book a call: your name, email, phone number, the time you picked and your time zone.
  • What you send us by text or email, and our notes from calls with you.
  • If you buy: your name, business name, email, phone and the plan you picked. Stripe handles your card. We only see its last 4 digits and its expiry date.
  • If you're a client: what you tell us on your setup call to build your website and set up your account. That's things like your business details, services, service area, logo and photos.
  • If you're a client: your customers' names, phone numbers and messages, as they come through the system we run for you.
  • Basic details about your visit: the page you used, and any ad tracking tags in the link you clicked.
  • Your IP address and rough location (city and region), which our tools record automatically when you send a form.

Our demo website is demo.acquirerevenue.com. If you send its form, we get what you type. That is your first name, phone number, email, city and what you need. We use it to send you the demo text. We also use it to show contractors how the system works.

3. Why we use it

  • To reply to your request and see if we're a good fit.
  • To rate how good a fit you look from your answers, so we know who to call first.
  • To confirm your call, remind you about it, and help you rebook if it doesn't happen.
  • To prepare for your call and follow up on it.
  • To bill you and keep records of what you paid.
  • To build and run your website and systems, if you're a client.
  • Your customers' details: only to run your system for you. We never use them for our own marketing.
  • To send promotional texts, only if you ticked the optional promotions box.
  • To keep a record of your consent.
  • To see which pages and ads bring people to us, so we can improve them.

4. Your consent

We'll only use your information with your consent, or where the law allows it. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Reply STOP to any text, reply "stop" to any email, or email [email protected]. If you withdraw consent, we may not be able to book or hold a call with you.

5. Text messages

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

6. Who we share it with

We'll only share your information with the service providers that run our business, and only what they need. Here they are:

  • GoHighLevel (LeadConnector): our website, forms, calendar, customer records, texts and emails.
  • Stripe: our payments.
  • Zoom: our video calls.
  • Wistia: the videos on our website.
  • Google Workspace: our email inbox.
  • Cloudflare: a spam check on our demo form.
  • Google Fonts: the lettering on our pages. Google can see your IP address when your browser loads it.
  • unpkg: a code library that some of our page animations load. It can see your IP address when your browser loads it.

We'll also share it when the law requires it.

7. Where it's stored

Our service providers may store your information outside Canada, including in the United States. When they do, the laws of that country apply to it.

8. How long we keep it

Asked about our service but never became a client? We keep your details for 24 months after our last contact. Then we delete them. If you become a client, we keep them while you are a client. We keep billing records as long as tax law says. Then we delete them. If you are a client, we also hold your customers' texts and emails. We hand those back to you when you leave. Then we delete our copy.

9. How we protect it

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, and only people who need it to do their job can see it.

10. Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Email [email protected]. We'll answer within 30 days. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

11. Cookies and browser storage

  • We do not use advertising pixels or ad tracking tags on this website.
  • Our website platform, GoHighLevel, saves a visitor ID in a cookie called msgsndr_id. It also saves notes in your browser about your visit. These cover the pages you view, your first visit and your session. We use them to count visits and see which pages bring people to us. Cloudflare also counts visits on our pages.
  • Our form saves a note in your browser that you finished it, so it doesn't ask you again for 30 days. After you finish the form, your name, email and phone stay only in your open browser tab. Our calendar uses them to fill itself in. They're deleted once that's done, or when you close the tab.
  • Our checkout loads Stripe so you can pay. Our video player, Wistia, may save files in your browser too.

You can clear all of these from your browser settings at any time. If you block them, some pages may not work.

12. Children

This website is for business owners. It isn't meant for children.

13. Changes to this policy

We'll update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
